All Hallows’ Eve is upon us, folks! It’s time to binge on fun size candy bars and listen for things to go bump in the night…at least that’s my plan ☺
As a treat for you (no tricks), I thought I’d share favorite pieces of vintage Halloween décor from my personal collection.
Take a peek… if you dare! Happy Halloween!
Poison & Feet
Antique poison bottles and salvaged claw feet make a spooktacular combination.
Vintage Postcards
Vintage Halloween postcards are incredible. The old graphics are splendid, the messaging is interesting (and sometimes bizarre!), and the handwritten note from Great Aunt Anne is even better! Here are a few of my favorites!
Black Cat Stove Enamel Bottle
Black Cat Stove Enamel bottle complete with a sooty residue…so very Halloween!
Cast Iron Doorstop
How fabulous is this vintage cast-iron doorstop? It’s very heavy and such a unique piece. She makes an appearance in my house every year!
Halloween Bell
I was under her spell when I bought this little vintage lovely.
AUTHOR LAUREN SPINELLI
Lauren was introduced to the world of flea markets and antiquing at a very young age, courtesy of her grandmother, Marguerite — an original “picker,” long before television popularized the term. Since then, antiques and vintage loot have fascinated Lauren. After years of climbing the proverbial corporate ladder in Boston, she needed a change and followed her heart back to her Mid-Atlantic roots. After a little soul-searching, she landed a marketing job at a fabulous antique shop in historic Chadds Ford, PA. Was it a leap of faith? Yes! A major transition? Absolutely! Any regrets? Nope! She loves working amongst architectural salvage and gadgets of yesteryear. Her dream house would have secret passageways, stained-glass windows, and fireplaces galore. She resides in West Chester, PA with her husband, Joe.
