RULE TO LIVE BY: Have fun decorating your cheap old house!
As seen on episodes 4 & 6 of the HGTV show Who’s Afraid of a Cheap Old House?
POV: we believe that you should ALWAYS (without exception!) preserve the original bones of a cheap old house, and anything architectural or affixed to the home. But anything moveable inside should be an expression of YOU! We have the most fun when we’re playing and mixing styles from different eras. Old houses do not need to feel like museums, frozen in time, one-note style statements. An Italianate house with mid-century inspired decor? Love that! A vintage bungalow with contemporary furnishings? Adds such interest!
For Episodes 4 (Cambridge, NY) and 6 (Albany, NY), the “Who’s Afraid of a Cheap Old House?” design team, led by Jennifer Salvemini, worked with Eternity Modern to add dynamic interest through stunning furnishings that criss-crossed eras.
