Suzi has been selling real estate on Long Island, NY for almost 30 years, specializing in historic and vintage homes, elegant manor houses and estates, and country inns, and bed and breakfasts. She has enjoyed a lifetime commitment to historic preservation. She was raised in a historic district in Seattle and obtained her law degree from the University of Washington, where she specialized in Historic Preservation Law. While working for the Seattle City Council, she helped draft the Seattle Landmark Ordinance, helped rezone an area of the city that was threatened with demolition to make way for high rise apartments, and helped individuals complete the research and paperwork to have their historic homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places. After moving to the east Coast, she worked on the creation of the Upper East Side Historic District in Manhattan and served on the committee to designate the village of Stockbridge, MA as a National Register Historic District. she has lived in, and restored, multiple vintage houses and she currently live in a 1788 house.
Throughout her career, she has held positions that promote historic landmarks, such as working as Advertising and Public Relations Director for the Plaza Hotel and the St. Regis Hotel in New York, and as Communications and fundraising Events Director for the Statue of Liberty Restoration. She is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Municipal Art Society, the Historic House Trust of New York, the Professional Circle of the New York Landmarks Conservancy, North Country Garden Club, North Shore Land Alliance, Preservation Long Island, the Roslyn Landmark Society, Oyster Bay Historical Society, Planting Fields Arboretum, Raynham Hall, Old Westbury Gardens, New York Botanical Garden, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the Long Island Board of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
