A native of Upperville, Virginia. Attended The Hill School (K-8) and Foxcroft School (9-12) here in Middleburg. Graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville (Go ‘Hoos!) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Rhetoric and Communications. Raised on a 300+ acre cattle farm in Western Loudoun County within a horse-oriented family. Late father, Erskine L. Bedford, served over two decades as Master of the Piedmont Fox Hounds and co-trustee to nearby Glenwood Park. Current member of many equine related associations which include; the Virginia Fall Steeplechase Race Board, the Virginia Steeplechase Association (VSA), the Museum of Hounds & Hunting, and the Masters of Fox Hounds Association (MFHA). An active member of the Piedmont Fox Hounds. Have involvement in the following local conservation organizations; the Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC), the Goose Creek Association, the Route 50 Corridor Coalition and Loudoun County’s Beaverdam Creek Historic Roadways District. Recently retired varsity field hockey coach at The Hill School since the fall of 2002. Past varsity field hockey coach at Foxcroft School from 1994-2001 and took team to the school’s first-ever Virginia State Championships. Walk-on member of the University of Virginia’s Women’s Division 1 Field Hockey Squad (1985-1987). Member of the Greater Piedmont Area Association of Realtors (GPAAR), the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS). A licensed Virginia sales agent with Thomas & Talbot Real Estate in Middleburg, Virginia since 2001 with an annual sales record of over $5 Million for 11 of the past 15 years.
