A former Georgia boy, Brent was the executive director of the Providence Preservation Society for a decade. In 2023, he parlayed his knowledge of old houses and management skills into a real estate career. In his first full year, he earned a Silver Circle of Sales Excellence in Rhode Island, and obtained both the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) and the At Home with Diversity (AHWD) designations.
In a state where more than a third of homes were built before 1940, Brent helps guide homeowners through the long-term preservation of their home and getting it ready to sell. He has worked with a range of buyers, from those who want an antique house to those who need something with more updates.
What are your goals and aspirations? What kinds of older buildings are most appealing to you? Whether it’s an urban neighborhood, a quaint village, a rural farmhouse, a seaside retreat, or a converted mill building condominium, he’ll be your one-stop resource for creating your dream home.
Brent lives in an 1896 multi-family home in Providence’s Armory Historic District. He is a driven advocate for neighborhood revitalization, environmental resilience, and affordable housing. He serves on the boards of HousingWorksRI, the Providence Resiliency Partnership, and was appointed by the Governor to both the RI Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission and the State House Restoration Committee. In his free time, he enjoys paddle boarding on the Narrow River, relaxing on out-of-the-way beaches, reading on his porch, and dining in the area’s many excellent restaurants. After being a member of the Providence Art Club for eight years, he is taking his first painting class.
