My husband and I moved to Beaufort over 30 years ago as newlyweds from south Georgia. We were drawn to the coast, to the marshes and to the beautiful vistas found in the lowcountry. Having a background in sales and marketing, we saw an opportunity to realize our professional and personal dreams. Beaufort was the place we wanted to invest and buy property as well as put down roots and start a family.
As the years have gone by, we have enjoyed success while developing Battery Point Subdivision, Wrights Point Plantation, Polowana Island and various commercial properties. I have learned what it takes to transform a piece of land to marketable, sellable, residential and commercial property. I feel confident that I can handle and meet any real estate need that you may have.
As in business, Beaufort has also been a blessing to us personally. It is where my three girls, Morgan, Mary Hampton and Amelia have grown up. It has been a very rich and rewarding time full of busy days making precious memories.
Our love of the water runs through their veins as well. We are avid boaters and have enjoyed cruising the local waterways as well as doing the “Great Loop” with our girls. Along the way we have seen many beautiful places but none as lovely as Beaufort. Fishing is also a favorite pastime of ours in the Lowcountry; whether it be in the lush, deep waters, the tidal creeks, or the flats, it’s all great. We also play and enjoy competitive tennis in our area. Local tournaments, teaching pros and competitive leagues make for a strong tennis community. We also have several nationally known tennis academies located close by in Hilton Head which provides a unique opportunity for our youth. There are so many diverse activities to enjoy athletically, fun festivals to attend, many cultural opportunities and unlimited front porches to relax on while you visit with new friends.
For a small town, Beaufort also offers a wide variety of educational options to meet any child’s needs. Having been a founding board member of a small classical school, I am equipped to answer any questions you may have for your own child. We are blessed with charter schools, public schools along with private and parochial options. We are also members of the Parish Church of St. Helena’s, where adults and youth enjoy activities and many opportunities to serve our community.
