Rachel grew up in East Tennessee and prior to moving to the Upstate, had lived the last twenty years in the sunny state of South Carolina. Although Rachel was born and raised in the South, she has paternal roots to Albany and the Hudson Valley that go back to 1614. In the 1920s, Rachel’s great grandfather founded the iconic Miss Albany Diners with seven locations around the Capital Region. Her entire life, she has enjoyed hearing stories of Upstate, New York’s rich past. She currently lives in Rexford, New York and has enjoyed becoming familiar with and fond of the Capital Region. Rachel worked in patient care for close to twenty years until she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of a career in real estate. Rachel enjoys working with all aspects of real estate including interior design and has managed several upscale renovations in the Capital Region. Rachel has a passion for working with vintage, unique, and historic homes. She appreciates and admires style, often staging her listings with items that belong to the homeowner, while also incorporating pieces from her own personal collection. She is an avid reader, has interests in American history, is a collector of fine china and antiques. Rachel is a member of the DAR, the Mayflower Society, and is a Friend of Albany Rural Cemetery. Rachel has a handsome Pekingnese mix that she adopted in South Carolina nine years ago. She enjoys giving back to the community and has a soft heart for the homeless, elderly, and animals. After experiencing a bout of skin cancer last year, Rachel has become a passionate advocate for skin cancer awareness and sun protection. Rachel has a meticulous eye for detail and is determined to succeed in any work she takes on. She understands the value of family and spending time with loved ones in well-appointed spaces. Rachel looks forward to taking the time to get to know her clients so she can serve them best and make them feel at home. Above all, Rachel strives to bring “Southern Hospitality” to the Capital Region.
