Adelphi Paper Hangings, located in the village of Sharon Springs, New York, is dedicated to the research and production of historically accurate block-printed wallpapers. Our sidewall papers and borders are reproduced from original documents and are hand-printed by artisans using methods, materials and procedures employed by our historic counterparts in the 18th and 19th centuries. This results in a wallcovering with a singularly intense presence of colour and light.
Our collection is available in historically accurate or appropriate shades as well as colorways created for contemporary interiors. When selecting wallpaper, an inspired choice of color is easily as important as the specific pattern. Moreover, as the workshop prints all papers to order, custom-coloring is available and, indeed, encouraged.
Adelphi also welcomes inquiries into the reproduction of historic wallpapers, either for institutions or individual homeowners.
