I attribute my love and appreciation for historic architecture to my pre-teen years, spent in beautiful family-owned historic homes in the Midwest. My love of historic architecture led me to study architecture and design in college, graduating with bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. My interior design background compliments my career in real estate, and my fascination and love of historic homes continues to this day. I love the character and detail found in period architecture and I enjoy working with homeowners and buyers who share that passion.
I am very fortunate to be the custodian of a beautiful historic home myself. My husband and I are the proud owners of a 1927 English Limestone home located in the Birmingham historic district of Redmont Park. I am honored to serve on the Redmont Local Historic Advisory Committee. This committee helps to ensure that any changes being made to historic homes or buildings within the Redmont Park Historic District are in keeping with the original style of that structure, and compatible with the design guidelines included in Birmingham’s Historic Preservation Plan.
In addition to serving as a member of the Redmont Local Historic Advisory Committee I am also a member of Who’s Who in luxury Real Estate, a Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), a member of the Birmingham Historical Society, Jefferson County Historical Association, Alabama Trust for Historic Preservation, The National Association Of Realtors, The Alabama Association Of Realtors, Birmingham Association Of Realtors, The Birmingham Area MLS.
