I am not a realtor, but a retired educator from California. I relocated to Macon, Georgia, to embark upon a second career in the renovation of historic houses. Macon has no shortage of historic houses and this house is the third one I have completed. Most renovations of historic houses I have seen would be considered by me to be only “partial” renovations. Expediency and fiscal considerations determine the extent to which the house was “restored.” I made the decision to restore the Garden Street Victorian Cottage to the greatest extent possible, without fiscal or time constraints. Three years later, I consider this house to be my “masterpiece.” Since I am the ultimate perfectionist, this is saying a lot. It is my great hope this house will be purchased by someone who will appreciate the terrific detail incorporated into the restoration, enjoy it, and continue to maintain its level of excellence!
