About Michela Worthington-Adams
I am a mom of a 14-year-old daughter and a border collie and a Minnie Aussie, a wife, quilter, swimmer, and a Realtor. I grew up in Northern Virginia but moved to Richmond in 2000 because I love the relaxed lifestyle in RVA.
At the time, I was a Merchant Marine Officer, sailing the world on container ships. I could have lived anywhere. I chose Richmond because it’s close to everything I like to do. It also gave me the opportunity to buy and completely renovate a home built in 1888 in historic Church Hill, two blocks from St Johns Church where Patrick Henry gave his famous speech. Renovating that home was a total labor of love that took me 2 years to accomplish. I even managed to get both tax credits and tax abatement for all of the effort I put in, much of it with my own 2 hands. It was well worth the effort! I would love to share my expertise in this area with other potential owners of historic homes!
Another benefit of living in RVA is that it’s not too far from the mountains, and not too far from the beach. You find fabulous food here -and now beer and wine too! There’s not too much traffic which is perfect for my stress level, I had reached my limit with that in NoVa. Last but not least, RVA is a creative city with VCU’s world-renowned Art School here. This suits my crafty nature!
I became a Realtor because I love the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for our great city. I love helping buyers from all around the country who are looking to move to Richmond. I understand why they are here and know they are going to love RVA as I do!
This also gives me an opportunity to use my creativity and energy to bring together a team of talented, hard-working sales partners within The OwnRVA Group to help me share the charm of living in Richmond with more soon-to-be homeowners. We love solving the mystery of where we might find the next new opportunity to change people’s lives by finding a new and wonderful home. What the pandemic has taught us is that home and family are incredibly important. We want you and your family to love where you live in RVA!
