About Marty Byrd

A former investment analyst and stockbroker with a national firm, Marty views Charleston real estate with a discriminating eye for value. Leveraging her comprehensive knowledge of local and national markets and strong advertising background, she has produced several benchmark sales in the Charleston area. Marty gained practical experience while restoring an 1870’s plantation house and building in Mount Pleasant’s historic Old Village, gaining essential insights into working with architects, review boards, and historic foundations. Originally from North Carolina, Marty has lived in Charleston for close to forty years. She has been active in nature conservation and political fundraising and, as a mother of two, has enjoyed volunteer work with Porter-Gaud, Ashley Hall, and Sullivan’s Island Schools. Marty lives in an 1830’s house in Charleston’s historic district.
