About Jon Tomlinson

After living in London and San Francisco, Jon Tomlinson is fortunate enough to reside both in Mattituck and in the West Village neighborhood of NYC. Jon fell in love with the North Fork seven years ago after staying in an artist’s home in East Marion. Soon afterwards, he and his partner purchased a 1902 farmhouse on Old Sound Avenue. Growing up in a small town in Michigan, he immediately felt at home in the North Fork with the friendliness of the residents, the close proximity of water everywhere, and the abundance of farms, open space, and fresh air. An energetic entrepreneur, Jon has owned several arts-related businesses and still currently co-owns Artware Editions, a gallery specializing in functional objects and furniture designed by fine artists. Originally operating as a bricks and mortar company for 10 years, it is now a successful online gallery. Jon is frequently asked if working in real estate is different than the art world and people are surprised by his response in how similar it is. Both involve outstanding, high-level service and the process is often emotional as well as financial. Jon’s goal is to treat his buyers and sellers as he would like to be treated – putting their concerns and needs first while providing accurate / current information resulting in the perfect conclusion. Jon understands the needs of those either moving to or buying a second home in the North Fork and is available to meet there or in the city.
