She’s lived in old houses most of her life… an old farmhouse for years, and now an old village home she has no plans of leaving. She can’t drive through a Maine village without slowing down: the trim work on a Victorian, the widow’s walk on an old ship captain’s home, the way a two-hundred-year-old cape has settled into its landscape so easily it looks like it grew there. Maine’s villages and back roads are dotted with homes like these, each one holding a kind of comfort and permanence, and a story that a new build can’t offer. It’s in the craftsmanship — the hand-planed trim, the plaster, the additions stacked on over generations, and in how effortlessly these houses feel cemented into the land around them.
That’s what draws her to this work. Selling an old home feels like telling its story. Helping a buyer find one feels like something else… like helping the house find its next keeper, someone who’ll notice the same details she does and carry the story forward.
