The History

Linlithgo was established in the late 18th century just down the road from the iconic Livingston estate and grounds, Teviotdale. In the 1800s, the village largely became home to workers employed by the Iron Mountain mine and the nearby Hudson River railroad depot. By the time the Post Office was built, the town had slowly become a blend of remaining mining families and gentlemen farmers.

The original doors, hardware, and wide-plank hardwood floors have been carefully restored.
