About Michaelle Warner

Born in Louisville, Michaelle attended Smith College in Northampton MA, graduating with a BA in studio art. In the late 1980’s she and several friends founded “The Café Dog”, a women-owned café-art gallery; in fact, it was one of the earliest establishments in Louisville to serve coffee drinks- like cappuccino and espresso- and promote local live music and visual artists. At that point, she realized more knowledge in the financial realm was needed to succeed in the business world. She received her real estate license in 1989 at the suggestion of several real estate brokers she knew, including her landlord, Walt Jones.

Her passion and interest in older and historic properties began at an early age on visits to her relatives in Old Louisville. Studying the history of architecture during her collegiate degree and continuing research into the city of Louisville’s development and history contributed to her knowledge. She joined Walton Jones Realtors in 1991 and became active in the development and renewal of Frankfort Avenue. She was the first woman to become the President of the Frankfort Avenue Business Association (x2) and Vice President (x3). In 1993, she created the Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade, a beloved neighborhood event that has become one of the largest (and most fun) parades in Louisville. In 1997, she received her Broker’s license.
