Welcome to Taos, our cozy town nestled in the mountains of the Land of Enchantment. I have been a member of this community for twenty-two years now, relocating from New York with John and our two daughters Alexandra and Olivia, who are now in their early-twenties and living in Seattle, WA. Over the years Taos has presented countless benefits and opportunities for my family and myself. The sense of community is palpable, and throughout time I have built strong connections with the people and businesses. Being a small-business owner in tandem with raising our family in northern New Mexico allowed John and I to be heavily involved with the community, and has given us a sense of security, comfort, and well-being. Although the population is small, we are surrounded by a vast nature reserve. In the winter we spend most of our time on the slopes of Taos Ski Valley. The summer months are filled with tennis, gardening, mushrooming, hiking in the mountains and entertaining with family and friends during the magical evenings. Most recently I participated in a Michelle Cassou painting workshop at Mable Dodge Luhan House here in Taos. Taos has been a significant change from the bustle of Manhattan, where I worked for seven years at the sales promotion agency Siebel/Mohr after graduating from Syracuse University in 1984. Once our daughters were born, we moved from the east coast (stopping in Wyoming for a few months) and landed in Taos. While helping establish my daughters’ grade school- Yaxche Learning Center- I co-founded and became director of the Taos School of Cooking. The TSC was created in 2001 as an ongoing fundraiser that raised student scholarship funds for all children. The cooking school offered themed classes hosted by celebrity chefs to create a positive learning environment for adults and kids to engage in the art of culinary cooking. This fundraising project helped me learn how to cultivate and sustain a business, and most importantly give back to a community that has given me so much. My love of cooking continues today and is nourished through Taos Properties, ‘What’s Cooking” campaigns. Photographing clients’ kitchens and pairing themed recipes is an effective & fun promotion to highlight our clients’ homes. My husband and I have worked together since we established Taos Properties Real Estate Investments in 1999. Initially, I served as the office manager, until 2001 when I became a Realtor & then a few years later a Qualifying Broker. When I began working with clients to assist them in buying a home or making an investment in real estate, I recognized the depth of this decision and its many components. I understood the economic and emotional investment it took to purchase real estate. As I continue forward using my expertise and commitment to my clients, I strive to make this process seamless paying close attention to the details, listening to my clients concerns & criteria, staying in constant communication and keeping current with market conditions. My goal is to make your transaction smooth & stress-free.
