About Alex Tower Sears
Alex Tower Sears is a third-generation Realtor® who grew up on Maryland Avenue in Historic Annapolis. Alex began learning the real estate business at a young age when her mother co-founded Annapolis Properties, a premier brokerage firm in the Maryland Inn.
In 2006, Alex joined her parents at their real estate group, The Tower Team, which was the top-performing team at the top-performing Annapolis office from 2005 to 2020. Alex and the team joined TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2021 bringing their enthusiasm, dedication to client service, and unsurpassed knowledge of the local real estate market. Alex has first-hand knowledge of and experience with homes on and off the water in downtown Annapolis and throughout Anne Arundel County and the surrounding areas.
Alex works closely with clients from start to finish, sharing her knowledge of local real estate; connecting clients with other skilled professionals whenever needed; suggesting strategies to follow, and negotiating to achieve successful results. Alex’s clients particularly appreciate her exceptional home staging which results in faster sales and better pricing. Her husband, Jonathan Sears, a native Annapolitan, contractor, licensed airplane mechanic, and Tower Team member ensures that every aspect of property condition, systems, and inspections items are clearly understood by both buyers and sellers.
Throughout her career, Alex has helped others achieve significant goals to improve their lives. Before becoming an agent, she was a teacher in Florida and a social worker in Ohio, Kentucky, and locally in Anne Arundel County. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. She earned a Master of Education in counseling at Xavier University, Cincinnati; and a Master of Social Work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. A strong believer in strengthening the local community, The Tower Team donates $250 for every sale to Light House, Inc. which provides shelter and services to prevent homelessness and empower people as they transition to self-sufficiency.
Alex and Jonathan raised three daughters in their home on Murray Hill. She enjoys sunrise walks on the Annapolis waterfront with her beloved dog Lenny, a feisty Lhaso Apso; celebrating the local May Day traditions with The Garden Club of Olde Annapolis-Towne, supporting Historic Annapolis and her book club. She spends her summer vacation sailing or exploring U.S. cities and parks on her bike or in her camper van. But she believes every day is an adventure.
