Formerly Stoakes House
Watcombe Manor is a two and a half story wood frame residence located on the west side of Stoakes Creek off Haven Beach Road. A long gravel drive, lined with pecan trees, winds through farm fields to this stately old home. The façade of Watcombe Manor has a centered front door with a double height transom of rectangular lights. The entrance is protected by a flat roofed front porch supported by columns and embellished with dentil block molding. Above the front porch is a doorway, centered on the one below, which opens onto the roof of the front porch from the second floor. Flanking the front door on the first floor are two nine-over six light windows and on the second story directly above the ones below are six over six lights. Eleven rooms and four fireplaces, high ceiling, heart of pine floors, gourmet range and sub-zero refrigerator are just a few features in this home. The waterviews are endles. Also on the grounds is the old Stoakes cemetery.
