Here is your chance to own a Historical Home right in the heart of Glendale! This is the A.W. Schisler home, which traces back to 1808. A simple log cabin serving as a home for a family farm. The structure was remodeled for the first time in 1836, when an addition was made to its original two rooms. In this section, the log walls are still exposed and form the dining room of the home which has grown around it. The oldest part of the white farmhouse, thought to date back to around 1808, is one of the oldest standing residences in St. Louis County. Original log walls are exposed inside. On the lawn, gravestones of former residents who died in the 1830s still sit, faded by time — though the bodies have since been exhumed.
