This majestic mansion was built in the late 1850’s by industrialist John Kellogg one of the owners of Kellogg and Miller Linseed Oil Company . It was built in Victorian Italianate Style with many of the original features still in tact . It’s been utilized over the years as a Drs office , Law office and is once again a warm & loving home . The current owners have not only restored this Grand Dame back to its former glory , but also updated to add all the modern convinces of today . Some of the original features include the beautiful painted ceiling in the great room , pocket doors, and fireplace mantles . Just a few of the updates include , gleaming Brazilian cherry floors , totally redesigned kitchen, and finished Copula. Extensive research has been done by one of the owners who is currently in the process of writing a book about the home and its historical significance .
