Tucked away at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, you will find a secluded glen of historic cabins surrounding a natural spring. The historic Healing Spring was discovered in 1884 and was originally called Thompson’s Bromine and Arsenic Springs. The property was then known as Healing Springs Resort in later years and now simply called The Cabins at Healing Springs. Many of the cabins are the original cabins that were built in the early 1900’s. The owners are proud to be on the National Register of Historic Places.
The natural spring known as “Healing Spring” is reported to have healing abilities and recorded to have cured everything from poison ivy to rheumatism, indigestion to ulcers. Local tradition has held steadfast for over 100 years that waters have curative powers. The current owners have created a thriving year around cabin rental business with a solid occupancy rates. Strong financials demonstrate a strong revenue stream to support the business. There is room for expansion on the 11.38 acres.
While the Jefferson, NC short-term vacation rental Cabins may look rustic on the outside, they have sympathetically been remodeled each cabin to highlight the original historical features. Cabins are uniquely decorated in a cozy “rustic-lure” style and have private baths. The cabins offer plush beds, with bed and bath linens included for your stay. The Standard and Family cabins have a full kitchen. These come complete with plates, cutlery, and basic cookware. The budget cabins have a kitchenette area with a mini-fridge, coffee pot, and toaster.
All the cabins are stocked with wine glasses and corkscrews. Cabin bathrooms feature Healing Springs guest soap, shampoo, and hairdryer. As most of the cabins were built in 1904, they do have ADA-accessible features. Open all year, the family cabins in the Blue Ridge mountains are ideal for reunions, group gatherings, workshops, or spiritual retreats. There is a range of cabin sizes to choose from. The cozy cabins are perfect for 2 people.
