Four Bedroom, 2,600 Sq. Ft. home designed by Gustav Stickley, internationally-known designer and architect, for the owner of the Gladstone Gold Mine. Constructed circa 1909. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The house is mostly original and in very livable condition.

Located one mile behind a locked gate, and six miles from Whiskeytown National Recreation Area and Whiskeytown Lake. Secluded three-plus acre site with three-mile distance to nearest neighbor. The location, although secluded, is just 22 miles west of Redding, the county seat of Shasta County (population approx.100,000). Access to the property is via three miles of county maintained gravel road. The last mile is private road. The location is within a three to four hour drive from Sacramento, San Francisco, or Eureka California; and, Ashland Oregon or Reno Nevada. Elevation is about 2,000 ft, making for a mild, four-season climate.

Craftsman-Style architecture features wide eaves, exposed beams and rafters, outriggers, and large porch and deck. Three of the four bedrooms were constructed with built-in, plumbed sinks. Though secluded, electrical and telephone utilities are standard.

Property is bordered by year-round Cline Creek with mountain, creek, and canyon views in all directions. Domestic water is provided by a gravity-flow spring.
