About This Old House

This property is ready for you to create your own dream home and/or business!

The possibilities are endless: an awesome home especially for a collector (lots of shelving), a restaurant, a dance studio, an artist’s showroom, a crafter’s dream store, a gift store, a wine and cheese shop, etc., etc.!

The property is zoned so that you can live upstairs and have your business downstairs! The land is an acre plus. There is an 11 car parking lot.

The location is superb! It is centrally located between Syracuse, Rome and Watertown, NY. The building is on a major road just 15 minutes off Interstate 81.

This historical property is currently being used as a multi-dealer antique shop and small bakery. It can be purchased as a turn-key business!

During the 1800’s the building was a showroom for the glass factory that was down by the water’s edge. As time progressed, the building became the town’s general store.

The workers at the glass factory were then paid in script money that could only be used at the general store!

The store still retains its original shelving, a huge 4′ safe in the wall where the important town’s papers were stored, a large oak wall cooler which currently houses a variety of cheeses, a central wood-burning stove, beautiful showroom windows, etc.

There are three floors totaling approx. 5,000 square feet. The first floor is approx. 2,500 square feet. There are many large windows with wonderful natural light.

The store has been freshly painted. The bathroom has a shower. The electric has been updated to 200 amps.

This historical building is approx. 5,000 square feet with three floors. The first floor has a small bakery to the right. There is a bathroom with a shower.

A GREAT DEAL OF SPACE is available for division as you see fit.

Lots of original shelving! All updates including 200 amps.

The building’s beautiful architecture is quite impressive! The third floor especially boasts large windows with natural light.

The land consists of two lots, one acre plus.

As if things couldn’t get any more exciting! This property is located on the beautiful north shore of Lake Oneida! Put your boat in the water just down the street! The last three photos were taken about 1/4 mile down the road.

This beautiful resort area is known for its year-round fishing. 15 minutes away from the property is Sylvan Beach where they also have a fun amusement park that dates from the 1950’s. The beach has a yearly water parade that takes place on the locks. People dress themselves and their boats of all sizes up in costumes for the parade. The beach and other local towns sponsor free concerts throughout the summer on their lawns, bring your own chair. There are wonderful blueberry patches just a few minutes down the road. We enjoy picking our own, but they will also pick them for you. Farmer’s markets offering local honey, vegetables, bread and baked goods are popular. About a mile from the store are chickens offering Fresh Eggs.

During the fall season, people drive around the lake, passing the store, to take in the beautiful fall foliage. Tourists come from all over. There is also strawberry and pumpkin picking. Horseback riding and shows are within 5 minutes away.

About 1/2 hour drive, the Syracuse Nationals Classic Car Show is in July and draws 5,000 to 20,000 visitors each year. Also at the fairgrounds, nearly a million people attend The NY State Fair which takes place in August. If you are in the mood for culture, again, Syracuse is just 1/2 hour away!

We are blessed with snow in the winter. They keep the roads nicely plowed. We do not get flooding, tornadoes, fires, droughts, or earthquakes.

There are two casinos about 30 minutes away in Vernon and Canastota.

Many people (over 2,000 per day) pass our property.
