My ancestor founded the Town of Chatham, Cape Cod Massachusetts in the early 1600’s. As a 12th generation Nickerson I am proud that Chatham has many historic homes that were once owned by a Nickerson and many still exist today. Preservation and maintaining the historic charm of my hometown is a very important cause. I have been in real estate for 36 years and have sold many historic homes, worked with wonderful builders, and historic preservationists. I have been a Trustee of Chatham Historical Society in the past, and was the building chairperson for our Nickerson Family Genealogical Library. We have created a museum from saving an old Chatham homestead, and are currently working with an historic flaked barn to resurrect it on our site.
