Happy Friday, house-lovers! I have some great news for you. When I started searching for the next fixer-gem for our Friday feature, I found so many gorgeous houses I couldn’t pick just one. Instead, I decided to pull together my top three!
Here they are in all their proud, historic glory. On the one hand, I can’t stop staring. On the other, it’s breaking my heart just a little not to be slapping my name on one of these beauties.

• $219,900
• 6 beds 2 baths 3,397 sqft
• Circa 1887
• 2+ acre lot
Wow. This Connecticut Victorian takes my breath away. Check out the pocket doors in every room, with the original woodwork intact. The gorgeous, curving porch, the tall windows, the endless hardwood floors – I love every inch of this old house. Plus, it’s sitting on a 2+ acre lawn, ripe for a garden and back patio oasis…maybe even a mini apple orchard?
It may need some work (once you get up to the top attic level, it looks like the ceiling needs some help!), but at only $219,900 for 3,397 square feet of antique charm – I’m sure more than a few rehabbers out there are up to the task!

• $72,000
• 4 beds 2 baths 2,694 sqft
• Circa 1906
This spectacular, one-of-a-kind home is just begging for a new owner who will treat it right. At only $72,000, all I can ask is how is this house still on the market?? Ok, the kitchen might need some work – but just look at the delicately carved archways in the foyer and the fireplaces on the main floor. It’s the kind of interior that makes me imagine women in ballgowns and men in tuxes twirling into the late night hours.

• $240,000
• 5 bed 2 bath, 4,192 Sq Ft
• 10 Acre lot
• Circa 1850
Haven’t you always dreamed of owning a beautiful plantation house? You’re in luck! This southern charmer is a Greek Revival-style house dating back to 1850. It comes with 10 acres of land, a dairy, outbuildings, and farm owned first by the Lamar family, and then the Haskell family of Augusta, South Carolina. Lovely magnolia trees surround the house.
I love the grand, full-façade porch, the fireplaces in every room, and the long, screened-in “sleeping porch” that stretches across the back of the house. The land surrounding the house is beautiful! I’d love to casually picnic under those magnolia trees out back. Don’t wait too long to jump on this one!

A contributor to the CIRCA blog, Teresa has been captivated by old, character-rich houses since she was little. Growing up in the cookie-cutter suburbs of Montgomery County, Maryland, she dreamed of one day calling a quirky, old Victorian “home,” often pouring over house plans and blueprints from the local hardware store. Chasing that fondness for all things steeped in history, Teresa attended college at William & Mary, the second-oldest college in the U.S., based in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. After graduating with a degree in English Literature and Psychology, she moved into a restored Baltimore row home, circa 1830. Currently, Teresa lives in San Francisco and spends her days ogling the colorful Victorian Italianates that line her Mission neighborhood.
