Erik holds a Bachelor of Science and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Oregon, as well as a Master of City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Erik interned with the City of Morro Bay, and following graduation, transitioned to a full-time City Planning position with the City of San Luis Obispo Community Development Department. He then returned to his home state where he spent three years working as a City Planner in Eugene, Oregon. During his years with local government Erik managed land use applications for large development projects, presented projects to local decision bodies (e.g. Planning Commission), and led a Historic Preservation program. Part of this work involved reviewing and advising on historic alteration permits, and bringing proposals to the City’s Historic Review Board. He also worked with the State and other funding sources to establish a grant program that awarded funds to owners of historic properties for building repairs and improvements.
Following his career in government, Erik worked as a project manager for a prominent Civil Engineering company where he focused on designing subdivisions and helping property owners acquire planning permits from local jurisdictions. Since moving to the Central Coast, Erik has sold properties in many of the region’s cities including San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Paso Robles, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Oceano, Morro Bay, and Cambria. Erik and his team’s diverse backgrounds help facilitate real estate transactions involving historically significant properties along the Central Coast. We would love to hear from you, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
