Some people think a real estate agent has to just know houses. I believe that a competent Realtor really has to know people as well as houses. Understanding and caring about people allow me to more quickly match buyers’ and sellers’ needs, resulting in transactions that succeed for everyone.

Bringing extensive management expertise to my real estate career, I achieved membership in the Million Dollar Sales Club in my first full year in real estate. Since then, I have achieved membership in the prestigious Founder’s Club and Long and Foster’s Gold Team, placing me among the top 3% of agents nationwide. I have also received the Seniors Real Estate Specialist and Certified Buyer Representative designations. Many sellers and buyers have cited my service “above and beyond,” garnering me the Long and Foster Service Award numerous times. This distinction gives me special satisfaction as does the repeat business and the many referrals I receive from past clients and customers.

I bring to my real estate career 17 years of research, evaluation, and management experience. I have worked for government at both the local and Federal levels, including the U.S. General Accounting Office, and for a non-profit arts organization. I have also been very active in my community. For many years, I served as chairperson of Somerset Elementary School’s very successful used book sale and was the founding President of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Educational Foundation.

Having purchased two homes myself, I understand buyers’ and sellers’ anxieties and needs and have a deep appreciation of how important this investment is to them both financially and emotionally. I believe service does not stop at either contract acceptance or settlement.
