Melanie is one of the East Coast’s emerging real estate designers with over 10 years of experience in architectural interior design, brand strategy, investing and most recently real estate development. She has a deep understanding for the island of Nantucket’s unique history, neighborhoods, architecture and community. Melanie moved full-time to Nantucket from Washington, DC to establish her design and property development business in coastal New England, where her lifelong love for real estate began.

Before practicing real estate professionally, Melanie spent five years working in finance and strategic management consulting, where she gained investment management experience for clients with real estate assets. Melanie attended the National Cathedral School in Washington, DC and graduated from Cornell University in 2009 with a BS in Interior Design and Business Strategy. In Italy she studied International Marketing and became Wine Spectator certified. She was a member of the Cornell Sailing Team. When she steps way from the studio or job site, she loves running, tennis, music, and entertaining with family and friends.

Melanie’s passion is for connecting people with place – “placemaking.”

In the role of a buyer’s agent, Melanie hones in to understand your vision and sees it through purchase, and sometimes all the way to real estate development. For investor clients, she helps to strategize unique investment opportunities.
