About David Shriver

I was born in Central California and was raised and graduated from South Tahoe High School. I have lived in the Carson Valley since 1976 and am an avid outdoorsman, skier, fisherman , traveler, and history junkie. My career background started in the Food and Beverage industry and included management of different restaurants and venues. In 1990 I obtained my real estate license and have been in the industry ever since. I have always been involved with the organizations within the real estate family including: • Member of the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors (SNAR) 2000-2020 1. Vice President of board 2005 – 2006 2. Circle of distinction award 1995-2007 3. Two time Bob Paoli Award recipient 1997 and 2009 4. Four time recipient of Realtor of the Month 5. Member of Board of Directors • Member of National chapter of Certified Residential Specialists My experience is broad reaching and I have obtained the following certifications in my chosen field: • Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) • Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) • Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) • Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI) My experience over the years has ranged from land sales to commercial and business opportunities and include dealing with REO and RELO properties, new construction, investments, 1031 exchanges, first time buyers, short sales and foreclosures. If it takes a Realtor, I have done it!! Being as fortunate as I am to live in such a beautiful place, I am highly involved in community activities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Domestic Violence Coalition, Safe Grad Night, GROW, the Brewery Arts Center, the Senior Center and the Carson Valley Children’s Center – Austin’s House. I am also involved in several different outdoor organizations like the Nevada Wildlife Foundation, the Nevada Mule Deer Foundation, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Carson Valley Ducks Unlimited and the Carson Valley Chukar Club. So what does all this tell you about me? Probably that I manage to stay very busy and that I love the area I live in. I have a very good sense of humor with a light-hearted yet serious approach to problem solving. I am a lifelong subscriber to the Golden Rule which guides me through the pitfalls that can be found along life’s journey. I am excellent and well versed with creative financing and the avenues that make things happen. I am tenacious at finding innovative and creative ways to put buyers and sellers together in a win-win situation. I have a great working relationship with local professionals in all fields both in and out of the Real Estate community. I have an aggressive integrity with an excellent grasp of what it takes to get the job done.
