Carla Ness

Associate Broker | Co-Owner & Manager at Delap Real Estate

About Carla Ness

Carla Ness: Co-owner of Delap Real Estate, Member of the Massachusetts and National Associations of Realtors and Member of the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley.

I have been selling real estate in the Pioneer Valley since 1995 and have seen many changes in the market. Through the years, I’ve gained a wealth of experience helping many satisfied clients buy or sell a home. Early on in my career, I rapidly became a top selling agent because of my hard work, dedication to my clients, and quickly learning about all that is involved in today’s complicated real estate transactions. My experience helps me remain a very successful agent, I still continue to learn as much I can about real estate, not just the rules and regulations, but all aspects that can be helpful to my clients. I keep a close eye on what is happening in the Pioneer Valley and continue to study. I listen closely to my clients needs and remain dedicated to helping them make the right real estate decisions that will enhance their lives, both financially and emotionally.

When Dennis Delap asked me in 2005 to join his new agency, I was honored to be one of the first people he asked. I accepted immediately and have enjoyed working with this fabulous team ever since. Dennis sadly passed away in October of 2012 leaving the business to the agents. In 2013, when we officially inherited the business, my fellow Realtors at Delap Real Estate voted me to be our new broker. I am grateful for their high opinion of me, my mediations skills and ability to keep a level head if things are difficult. They know I listen well and treat everyone fairly. We all miss Dennis greatly. I don’t fell that I can fill his shoes but I plan to run the company the way he would with honesty and compassion for all. I also have the support and advice of my fellow co-owners. We run the company as he did as a cooperative effort.

My husband, Christopher Bagg, and I live in Cummington. We love being out in the woods and in our garden. We ski, bike, hike, swim and love exploring all the back roads and trails. We are board members for Greenwood Music Camp in Cummington. I’m a Historical Commissioner for the town and help run our fabulous museum, The Kingman Tavern. I studied art and history in college and taught social studies at the middle school level before becoming a real estate agent. My background and interest in art and history continue to inform me as a Realtor. I have extensive knowledge of antique homes. My creative eye and experience can help find a true “diamond in the rough” and other real estate gems.

Teaching taught me good communication and mediation skills. Buying or selling real estate can be a very emotional process. Sometimes buyers and sellers find themselves in antagonistic positions. It is good to have someone who is looking out for your best interest without emotional involvement, and who can clearly explain both sides of an issue to help you make an informed decision. As an experienced Realtor who cares, I’m a good choice to be that someone.

Whether you are buying or selling, you need an experienced dedicated agent whom you can trust. Let me be that agent. I will not disappoint you. Let my knowledge of the market, communication skills and creative ability work for you. Please call or email, [email protected] with any of your real estate questions or needs. I’d love to help.
