With over a half century of experience in real estate, as a property owner, investor / developer, real estate agent, and Inn owner, Rob knows the industry. Although born and raised, in the mountains of Western Carolina, he has born witness to many markets throughout the country as he and his wife, Jane, relocated coast to coast and everywhere in between during Rob’s professional life in Corporate America. In the mid 90s, Rob and Jane, decided to act on their dream of becoming Innkeepers, and purchased the historic Magnolia Place Inn in Savannah, Georgia. Soon thereafter, Rob activated his Georgia Real Estate License and became involved in the purchase, renovation and sale of properties in the Historic and Victorian district of Savannah. He and Jane purchased their second bed and breakfast, The Hamilton-Turner Inn, also located in Savannah, in 2002. While enjoying Innkeeping Rob returned to his love of real estate and continued to build his career as a real estate agent in Coastal Georgia, South Carolina and his home state of North Carolina. During the economic housing crisis in 2008, Rob focused on the need to help homeowners, and distressed properties find their way out of the crisis. He earned accreditations as a Certified Distressed Property Expert, Certified Investor Agent Specialist and REO Specialist. Thankfully, the markets have recovered over the last decade allowing Rob to focus on his love for historic properties such as Bed and Breakfasts and Historic Inns.. Since 2013, Rob has consulted with prospective Inn owners to find, evaluate and purchase their dream B&B properties. He is a Realtor ® in three states: Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Additionally, Rob represents current B&B owners as their listing agent. A niche industry indeed, but one that fulfills Rob’s thirst for history and his passion for real estate. Having the personal experiences himself of the ebb and flow of real estate markets over the last 40+ years, he brings knowledge and experience as a realtor and Inn consultant in the three states he concentrates on.
