I was constantly seeking for methods to better my big buck deer hunting as well as my understanding of how deer interact with one another. I began making imitation scrapes using genuine tree brands and all of the scents that were available. As I stood in front of my deer stand cameras, I continued thinking of ways to entice all deer (bucks, does, and hawns) to use my faux scrapes. Occasionally, I’d get a picture, but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. The branches were seldom or never struck, and when they were, it was not in the optimum location or angle for hunting, as I discovered time and time again. After a while, I began creating models of trees with varying heights and inclinations. When I eventually made a finding that I believed might work many years ago, I was ecstatic. I’ve been tinkering and fine-tuning for at least eight to ten years now. As a result of my exhaustive testing, The Buck Branch has emerged. At the right height, angle, and distance, the Buck Branch may be positioned in your preferred hunting region. For those of you who like to hunt in food plots and open areas rather than in trees, I’ve come up with an alternative solution: the stake out. An optional faux scrape may be added to your stake out by attaching it to a branch of the Buck Branch that does not have any trees nearby. When using the Buck Branch, I use and suggest Raw Frozen Scent, which deer prefer over actual tree branches by a factor of 50 to one, and this is why I exclusively use and recommend it. Don’t wait to employ The Bunk Branch if you want an edge on a trophy deer.
