About Jon Shore
Forward-thinking and always the consummate professional, Jon Shore is recognized by colleagues and associates for his keen understanding of the Greater Boston area marketplace, his integrity, grit, and above all, his unparalleled focus on customer service. Jon specializes in residential real estate: historic homes, new construction and subdivisions, including some of the area’s largest land transactions. Recently, Jon, in collaboration with Joni Shore, sold a 25-acre subdivision comprised of six homesites located in Dover for $9,255,000, plus a 1.67-acre building parcel in Weston at a record-breaking price for land at $2,400,000 in 2022. These landmark sales have earned him a stellar reputation – and with that, a steady clientele based primarily on repeat and referred business. He is thrilled to bring his experience to Douglas Elliman as part of The Joni Shore Group; he looks forward to utilizing the company’s global reach and expansive resources to elevate his client’s real estate journey.
Jon comes from a family of realtors. His mother, Joni Shore, has been a top producing broker for more than 36 years in Boston’s Metro West and his father Bernie Shore was a realtor for 10+ years.
Jon is a driven, results-oriented professional and creative problem solver who represents a range of clients – from seasoned investors and developers to first time home buyers – with the same level of care, diligence, and discretion. Whether marketing a historic property in Brookline or representing a buyer on a plot of land in an outlying suburb, he is proactive when negotiating deals, quick to pivot and troubleshoot if needed, and make sure the transaction is seamless and successful from the start to the end.
Prior to his career in real estate, Jon worked at the Museum of Fine Arts, was a vice president at Christie’s, the international auction house. He then became an art market analyst where his reports often appeared in Bloomberg, The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. His extensive experience in real estate, combined with his expertise in fine arts and design, provide him with a great advantage in knowing where to find the right properties for his clients and how to see the potential in any prospective real estate acquisition or sale.
Jon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Skidmore College. He supports Community Servings, the Museum of Fines Arts and Institute of Contemporary Art.
