It’s the ultimate convergence of the guitars and live drums of Sleeptalk with the synthwave leanings of Hurtwave, maintaining the rawness of the former while enveloping it in a soothing veil of the latter.

Despite a relatively light setlist, the crowd was very receptive and sang along with every word. First up were Caskets, who opened with their song Drowned in Emotion off their 2021 album Lost Souls.

Next was Homesick, a song that tells a powerful anecdote of being homesick and losing a loved one. Its progressive percussion and commanding vocal work are an ode to loss that could be applied to many different situations and emotions. It’s a beautiful piece of music.
