About Alex Wolking
A second-generation broker, real estate is all Alex Wolking has ever known. At 12 years old, he began working for his father, a real estate veteran in the Quad Cities region of Illinois and Iowa. In 2011, at 19 years old, Wolking earned his Iowa real estate license and was awarded “Rookie of the Year” in 2012. Growing up in a small-town real estate market taught Wolking how to understand market nuance, which remains a cornerstone of his business expertise.
Wolking spent some time away from Chicago after graduating from DePaul University before returning to the city in 2016. Proud of rebuilding his referral-based network from scratch, Wolking has since received numerous accolades including recognition as a Top Producer by the Chicago Association of REALTORS® since 2019 and a 2021 National Association of REALTORS® 30 Under 30 honoree.
After four years of consecutive growth and 29 closed sales in 2020, Wolking knew the only way to scale his business was to build a team. As Principal, Wolking’s primary focus is to develop business growth initiatives, devise client marketing plans, and execute negotiation strategies. Now with a full-time Operations Manager and Junior Associate, Wolking and his team have sold 35 homes year-to-date 2021.
In his spare time, Wolking sits on the Board of Directors for Landmarks Illinois, the Uptown Chicago Commission, and chairs the Hutchinson Street Architecture Tours. Wolking represents Buena Park Neighbors on the 46th Ward Zoning and Development Committee. As a former thespian, he enjoys all forms of performing arts and is an avid theatergoer.
