We’d Buy This Stunning Painted Lady in a Heartbeat

Waterman to the CIRCA team, who will periodically share with us her favorite old house findings all across the Lone Star State.   Behold this beautiful Queen Anne-style painted lady down in Waxahachie (between Dallas and Waco). There’s some conflicting dates for the exact age of the home; built somewhere between 1885 to 1887. No matter though, it’s clearly a glorious Victorian. The home was built by the cofounder of Texas Power and Light Company, and pioneer of the area’s interurban lines, J.F. Stickland, and was later owned by local Druggist J.W. Sawyer.
